Gary Lee Tiffany, 56, of Mingo died of cancer Wednesday, November 10 at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services were held Friday, November 12 at Mingo United Methodist Church, with burial at Ashton Chapel Cemetery near Mingo.
Gary was born May 27, 1943 at Collins the son of Arthur and Betty (Crabb) Tiffany. He was a longtime Mingo area resident and was employed as a mechanic and maintenance person for Martin-Marietta Aggregates at the Colfax facility.
Among survivors are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Curtis and Kari Tiffany of Newton and Justin of Mingo; three daughters and a son-in-law, Kelli and Dave Cooper and Susan Machin, both of Newton and Traci Tiffany of Mingo; a step-daughter, Kimbra Harrison of Mingo; his mother Betty Tiffany of Mingo; three brothers, David “Butch” and Keith, and wife Carol, all of Mingo, and Terry and wife Rita of Mitchellville; a sister, Glenda and husband Larry Barr of Indianola; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1980 and a brother, Paul this year.
