Frances Irene Miller, 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Jasper County, died of complications of a stroke, Saturday, June 26, in Knoxville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 29 at the Ashton chapel Church near Baxter. Burial was at Ashton Cemetery.
Memorials to the Ashton Chapel Church will be accepted.
The daughter of Jennie Phay and David Donaldson, she was born June 22, 1912, in Eckley, Colorado. She grew up and attended school in the Colfax area.
She married Perry Commodore Miller on October 25, 1937, in Camdenton, Missouri. The couple lived their married life in the Mingo area where they farmed.
Mrs. Miller worked as a housewife and helped her husband farm. She was a member of the Ashton Chapel Church for more than 50 years.
Due to poor health, she resided with her nephew’s family, Jim and Barb Nichol of Knoxville, for the past two years.
She is also survived by a sister, Gladys Nichol of Knoxville, as well as many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
