Ethel C. Hanson, 90, of rural Mingo, Iowa, died at Luther Park Health Center, from complications of Parkinson’s.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 29, at Wallace-Pence funeral Home with burial at Ashton Cemetery. Rev. Robert Hinshaw, Pastor, Ashton Chapel,
Daughter of Ernest and Charlotte Gearhart Ingram, born October 9, 1909, Jasper County, Washington Township. Graduated from Colfax High School, attended A.I.B. College and Simpson College received a Teachers Degree.
Married November 18, 1948, in Mingo, Iowa to Hollis Hanson. She is a lifelong resident of Mingo area.
Teacher for Jasper County Rural Schools for 17 yrs. and farmed.
Memorial contributions to Ashton Chapel, Iowa Public Television or Luther Park Health Center.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Nola Hanson and James Pollock, Mingo, Ia., Margaret Hanson and Joseph Van Ginkel III, Cumming, Ia.; three grandchildren.
She is preceded by: husband, Hollis Hans Hanson in 1978; brother, Paul Ingram; sister, Josephine Ingram-Parker; two brothers in infancy
