NEW SHARON -- Marjorie Kline, 95, of New Sharon died Saturday, March 6, at New Sharon Nursing & Rehab Center.
Graveside services were held today at Friends Cemetery in New Sharon with the Rev. Kevin Glesener officiating. Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon is handling arrangements.
Memorials will be accepted to the New Sharon United Methodist Church.
The daughter of Harry L. and Mary Frances (Huntsman) Turpin, she was born Jan. 31, 1909, in Farber, Mo. The family moved to New Sharon in 1916. She attended school in New Sharon and graduated in 1927.
On Aug. 3, 1927, she married Chester G. Kline of Grinnell. They farmed south of Grinnell until 1943, when they moved to a farm in the New Sharon area.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Bill Douglas of Montezuma and Norma and Bill Heaberlin of Eudora, Kan.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lenna Halstead of Grinnell and Marian Baltimore of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Ramona Turpin and Claudine McGinn; and two brothers, Warren and Emory Turpin.
