DEATH

Died, September 29th, in Fowler, San Joaquin Valley, California, Elmer Martin Whitcomb, son of Elmer and Mary Whitcomb.

The body was brought to the former home for burial and the Rev. Elias Handy performed the funeral services at the United Brethern church in Rock Creek in Jasper County yestarday afternoon.

Elmer Martin Whitcomb was born in Rock Creek, November 17, 1907 and the family moved to California about a year ago. He was a sensitive, loveable nature and of slight physique.

Death came at the end of three weeks illness. The family have the sincere sympathy of the many who knew them before they moved to their California home.

Note: Burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery gives name as Elmer Stanton with birthdate of 27 Nov 1907 and died 30 Sep 1910 in Fowler, CA, son of Elmer and Mary Whitcomb.
