Poulson, George W.
George Wilson Poulson was born Feb. 28, 1875 in Jasper County, Iowa. His parents were John Wesley and Rachel Elizabeth Poulson. On March 18, 1908, he was united in marriage to Mary Esther Mickle at Mingo, Iowa. They made home in northern Iowa (Armstrong and Ringsted) until 1919 when with their family, they moved to Martin County (MN.) where the deceased resided until his death on Monday, May 20, 1946, at 11:45 P.M.
Mr. Poulson farmed until his health prevented it. About three years ago he and Mrs. Poulson moved to Granada.
Death came at the age of 71 years, two months and 23 days. Mr. Poulson had been failing in health many years, but the last three years he was practically an invalid. He died due to a heart attack after having been very sick about 12 days.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn the following children: Floyd A. Poulson of Nashville, Mrs. Orlo Carpenter (Mae) of Center Creek, and Ernest H. Poulson of Lake Crystal. Also there are nine grand-children. There is one sister, Mrs. Minnie Schwab, of Laurel, Montana. One half-brother, Lester Poulson, resides at Des Moines, IA. Also a number of nieces and nephews and friends remain to mourn his death. He will be missed but we are glad for him that his pain is over and his soul has gone to be with his Lord.
