Mrs. Susan Young Owens passed from this life to the beyond, Tuesday July 19, 1898.

Deceased was born in Lycoming County, Pa., September 20, 1816. She was married to Robert Owens, May 11, 1836. Six children were the fruits of this union, only two surviving the parents. The husband died in 1893.

Mrs. Owens has lived on the old home ever since her husband’s death. She was a faithful member of the Evangelical Church, a kind neighbor and beloved by all who knew her.

The funeral was held from the Christian Church, Rev. C. A. Gray conducting the service. A large assembly of relatives and neighbors gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to this estimable mother and friend.
