ObituaryOsborne, Mabel E.
Mabel E. Osborne died Wednesday morning, February 27, 1895, at 5:30 o'clock, at her home in Kellogg, aged 17 years, 11 months and a few days.
The evening before her death, at about 9 o'clock, she called her mother, brother, an aunt, and others that were in the house to her bedside, and bade them farewell. She said she was going home to heaven, to be an angel with her Savior and Heavenly Father. This was her last talk. She soon fell asleep, but roused up once about one o'clock and took some medicine, and then dropped back in a sleep, but moaned and was restless all night from pain.
The deceased was born in Newton. She was converted in the Friends some four months ago, but gave her name in and joined the M. E. Church at Kellogg. She was a fine Christian young woman.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, Thursday afternoon; the church was full. Miss Osborne was a granddaughter of P. L. and Mary E. Benshoof, of this city.
