ANNA LUTTMAN, LONGTIME CHESTER RESIDENT, DIES
Anna Luttman (nee Siehl)

Mrs. Anna Luttman 79, resident of the Chester community, died Monday evening at a local hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home with the Rev. Laverne Streich, pastor of St John's Lutheran church, officiating. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Waldo Johnson.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Wesley Ahrens and Mrs. Glen Anderson. Pallbearers were Delmar Luttman, Lester Luttman, Merlyn Luttman, Farrell Siehl, Merle Harris, and Delmar Puls. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery. The daughter of Hans and Mary Kroger Siehl, she was born Dec. 8th, 1882, at Bluegrass, Iowa. She came to the Grinnell area as a child and had resided here since.

She attended the schools of this community and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and St. John's Ladies Aid.

On Feb. 21st., 1906, she was united in marriage with Louis Luttman and to this union two sons were born: Floyd and Elmer, both of Grinnell. Her husband preceded her in death on March 10th, 1922.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Della McKay and Jessie King.

Besides her sons, she is survived by a sister, Kate Siehl of Grinnell, and two brothers, John Siehl of Grinnell and Hans Siehl of Montezuma.
