MRS. E. LOVELACE DIES ON SUNDAY; SERVICES TUESDAY

Mrs. Edgar (Irene) Lovelace 70, 428 S. 5th Ave. W., lifelong resident of Newton, died Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines. Services will be at 10 am Tuesday at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home. The Rev. Lynn King, minister of the Methodist Church, Madrid, will officiate and burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5pm today.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irvin (Wanda) Jensen, Madrid, and two sisters, Mrs. C. A. (Delia) Staubus and Mrs. Susan Snook, both of Newton. She was preceded in death by her husband March 18, six brothers and a sister.

The daughter of Hugh and Kathryn McManus Smith, she was born Feb. 22, 1899. She was married Nov. 16, 1918, at Montezuma.
