SERVICES FRIDAY FOR CHRIS LARSEN
Chris Larsen

Chris Larsen, 79, of 721 West St., Grinnell, passed away Tuesday at his home.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Larsen, he was born Sept. 19, 1888, in Brau, Denmark. As a young man he came to the United States and settled in the Grinnell Community. He was employed for many years by the seed corn companies of the community, until his eyesight failed and he was forced to retire.

He was united in marriage with Flossie Taylor Mar. 11, 1925, and to this union two sons were born - - - Paul of Newton and George of Fort Knox, Ky. In addition to his wife and two sons, he is survived by his stepson Estel Cottrell of Newton, two sisters and one brother, all living in Denmark. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Funeral services for Mr. Larsen will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
