LAMONI — Funeral services for Tawnya Sue Johnson Lantz, 38, of Lamoni, a former Newton resident, were held Tuesday, April 19, at the Slade-O’Donnell Funeral Home in Lamoni.

The Rev. Brian Hardee and Larry Butt conducted services. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Lamoni.

Mrs. Lantz died Friday at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Survivors are her parents, Les and Opal Johnson of Lamoni; a brother, Tony of Trenton, Mo.; and a sister, Sharon O'Neal of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Johnson 1970.

The daughter of Les and Opal Guthrie Johnson, she was born Dec. 30, 1955 in Newton.

A graduate of Newton Community High School, she received an associate's degree from Wallace Community College in Alabama.

She was employed in a hospital in Apollo Beach, Fla., for several years before returning to Iowa.
