Floyd H. Krumm

Floyd was born on December 29, 1930, at Grinnell, Iowa to Philip and Lila Belle Cooper Krumm. He was raised at Grinnell and graduated from Newburg High School. Later, he received a B.A. degree in aeronautical engineering from Iowa State University at Ames.

On June 22, 1956, he was married to Lorraine Piske at Woodstock, Illinois The couple lived in Elgin, Illinois and in 1964, they moved to Columbia, South Carolina. While living in Columbia he worked for the former Rockwell International Company. Prior to his retirement in 1992 he worked as a quality control engneer for Cooper Power Tools Company. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Columbia and the men's club of the church. He enjoyed reading and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Krumm of 4680 Oakwood Drive, Columbia, South Carolina; his son, Kevin L. Krumm of Columbia; his daughter, Debra K. Gintautas of Vero Beach, Florida; one brother, Fred Krumm of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and three sisters, Iona Edwards of Grinnell, Audrey Halverson of Marshalltown and Jean Nolin of Louisa, Va. Floyd died on Wednesday, December 24, 1997, at his home in Columbia. He was 66 years of age, and preceded in death by his parents.
