Dennis Kelly, Sr., died at his home four miles northwest of this city, Friday, February 15, aged 82 years.

Mr. Kelly was born in Ireland and came to this country in 1849, and to Jasper County about twenty-four years ago.

The funeral took place Monday from the Catholic Church, conducted by Rev. Quinn. The burial was in the Catholic (Sacred Heart) Cemetery. Mr. Kelly was an honest, upright citizen, and was honored by all who knew him.
