Jay, Loula Mae (Trease)

Lula Mae Trease daughter of Susan Matthews and Louis Jefferson Trease, was born September 26, 1873. She was united in marriage with Homer Paige Jay, son of Eliza White and Eli Way Jay on June 6, 1894. Seven children were born to this marriage and all survive. They are Carl and Bernard Jay of Lynnville, Rex Jay of Wichita, Kan., Calverta Stewart of Chillicothe, Ia., Blanche Hart of Marshalltown, Dora Taylor of Guthrie Center and Lena Salema of Downers Grove, Ill.

In addition to the seven children she is survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, also one sister, Mrs. Ella Agazim of Denver, Colo., two brothers Matthew Trease of Des Moines and John Calvin Trease of Lynnville. She was proceeded in death by her husband on July 23, 1951.
