GRINNELL — Marjorie J. Jansen, 63, of Grinnell, formerly of Lynnville, died from complications of surgery Friday, Jan. 18, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell. Funeral services were held today at the Sully Christian Reformed Church in Sully. Burial was at Sully Cemetery. Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Sully handled arrangements. Memorials will be accepted to St Francis Manor Activity Fund.

The daughter of Henry and Cora Harthoorn Jansen, she was born Nov. 30, 1938, in rural Killduff. She lived six years in Grinnell and the rest of her life in the Lynnville area. She enjoyed baking and enjoyed her nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sully Christian Reformed Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.

Marjorie Jansen was born Nov. 30, 1938, near Killduff to Henry and Cora Harthoorn Jansen. She lived in the Lynnville area before moving to St. Francis Manor in Grinnell six years ago. She was a member of Sully Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed baking cookies and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her mother; a brother and his wife, Don and Karen Jansen of Lynnville; two sisters and their husbands, Thelma and Glenn Vanderpol of Sully and Jan and Ryk DeGoey of Sully; 10 nieces and nephews; and 17 great-nieces and nephew

She was preceded in death by her father in 2001; and a brother, Gene Jansen in 1971.
