Kenneth Iske

Kenneth Iske - Newburg - Funeral services for Kenneth Iske, 62, of Newburg, will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinned. Burial will be in the Hazel wood Cemetery. Iske died in his home Sunday of cancer. There will be military honors during the graveside rites by the Gilman American Legion Post.

Mr. Iske farmed in the Newburg area. He was the son of David and Leota Hitchler Iske. Born July 4, 1923, he married Maxine Eslmer Nov. 22, 1945. During World War II he served in the army in Europe.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; three daughters, Diane of Emmettsburg, Mrs. Linda Simpson of Gilman and Deborah of Glenwood; brother and sister, Mrs. Thedora Shaver of Newton and Jack Iske of West Liberty; three half sisters, Mrs. Edna Williams of Marshalltown, Mrs. Irene Huffacker of Newton and Mrs. Genieve McIlrath of Grinnell; four half brothers, Ted of Idaho and Harold, Carroll and CHarlie of California; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters and a half brother, Frank.
