Sudden Death
William Bond, for 29 years past a resident of Mound Prairie township, died quite suddenly last Wednesday. He was sitting in a chair at open door, when his daughter heard him call. Upon hurrying to him she found him prostrated and his death, resulting from heart disease, quickly followed. The funeral was conducted from the residence yesterday, Mrs. Mary C. Turner presiding, and feeling remarks were made by Mrs. Gerda Pease, of Colfax, and Dr. Engle, of Newton. The remains were interred at the Rorabaugh graveyard. Deceased was a man respected an esteemed by his neighbors and beloved by his family. He was 78 years of age and leaves a wife and four children – Mrs. Keyes by his first wife and Richard, William and Ella by his second wife.
