Lillian M. Harrah
Harrah, Lillian M.

Many loving friends were pained to hear of the untimely death of Lillian M. Harrah, which occurred Tuesday, March 30, after an illness of nine months with that dread disease, consumption.

Lillian was the adopted daughter of Rev. C. C. Harrah and wife. She was born in Indiana, April 26, 1881. Her father died leaving his family in such circumstances that all could not keep together. This little girl was taken by the Illinois Children’s Aid Society from whom Mr. and Mrs. Harrah received her nine years ago.

She was a very lovable child, and a most amiable young lady. She was just as dear to her foster parents and though she had been their very own. Lillian united with the Congregational Church when quite young and always found great joy in the comforting knowledge of her Savior.

Funeral occurred from the residence Thursday afternoon at one o’clock, the services being conducted by Rev. Cowan, of the M. E. Church, and Rev. Rice of the Presbyterian. Interment was in Wittemberg Cemetery.
