NEW SHARON, (Special)

Carl Hanson, 78, of New Sharon longtime employee of the M. and St. L., died late Thursday night at the Tower Park nursing home in Oskaloosa.

Surviving are: three sons, Andrew, Nels of Little York, Ill. and Myron of New Sharon; four daughters, Mrs. Edith Breeden of Newark, Mo., Mrs. Lewis Scull of Lynnville; Mrs. John McConnell of New Sharon and Mrs. Charles Crago of Norwalk, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Harden funeral home in New Sharon with Rev. Herbert Gould in charge. Burial will be in Friends cemetery at New Sharon.
