COLFAX — Scott W. Guy, 29, of Colfax died of cancer Friday, Dec. 7, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax with Father Philip Cardenzana officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements. Friends may call today at the funeral home where the family will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. A Vigil Service win be held at 7 p.m.

The son of Mark and Marlys Williams Guy, he was born April 27, 1972, in Des Moines. He graduated from Colfax-Mingo High School in 1990. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church In Colfax, Jones Willis Post American Legion in Colfax, UAW Local 997, and was employed as a production worker at the Maytag Company. He served In the United States Navy.

Survivors include a sister, Shannon Guy of Minneapolis, Minn., his parents of Mitchellville, and his grandmothers, Margaret Guy of Colfax and Virginia Williams of Prairie City.

He was preceded In death by his grandfathers.
