Evans, Eva (Brackney)

Funeral services [for Eva Evans] will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. from the Morgan funeral home by Rev. H. LeRoy Kinser, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment will be in the Sugar Grove cemetery at Metz.

Mrs. Eva Brackney Evans was born at Montezuma in 1904, and came to Newton to live 20 years ago.

She was the mother of eight children, the oldest of whom is 15 years of age. They are Esther, Evelyn, Freddie, Charles, Joe, Betty Jean, Doris June, and Phyllis Louise.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Gertrude Gossen of Rock Island, Ill., four sisters, two brothers, one half sister, and two half-brothers.
