SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Dorothy R. Harvey Damman, 82, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Newton, died Monday, Dec. 31, at the Hearth & Home Assisted Living in Springfield. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Pence Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. John Zieman, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m.

Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted to the United Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of O. Homer and lva Lulu Jones Harvey, she was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Mt. Victory, Ohio. She was a graduate of Mt. Victory High School and Bowling Green University in Ohio. She was an elementary school teacher for 34 years in Mt. Victory. On June 23, 1973, she married Walter J. Damman in Newton.

Mrs. Damman was a member of the Newton United Presbyterian Church, Ohio Retired Teachers Association and the Tourist Club in Lakeland, Fla. She lived in Mt. Victory, Ohio, and wintered in Lakeland, Fla. and had been a resident of Newton since 1973.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Vivian Harvey of Danville, Calif., and five nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.
