Sad Death
Coutts, Glancha

Our tenderest sympathies are extended to brother W. P. Coutts, of the Kellogg Enterprise, in the great sorrow, which has recently come to his home. His only daughter, Glancha, about 8 years old, was taken violently ill, last Friday, with spinal trouble, and died on Monday morning. Mr. J. W. Burke, of the Kellogg Tribune, paid this feeling tribute to the memory of the dear one of his brother editor:

"Glancha, the 7 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Coutts, died of spinal meningitis, Monday morning, April 1, 1895. Glancha was, indeed, a bright, vivacious, sweet little girl, and was almost worshipped by her parents. She had been sick but a short time. All that loving hands and skilled physicians could do was done that she might recover and remain with us, but all to no avail for the good Father had called Glancha to the Heavenly Home. Those who have felt the sad blow of death in their family can the more truly sympathize with the bereaved parents in the loss of their dear child. These severances of earthly ties are sad, indeed, and we are, perhaps, at times prone to not feel resigned; but we must remember that God is infinitely wise, and doeth all things well, and that Glancha, summoned as she was from all that could make her happy, is even happier now with the angels, where, in the heavenly realm, all her friends in this life may meet her. The Tribune extends to the bereaved parents its sympathy in this their hour of deep sorrow. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational Church, conducted by Rev. A. G. Martyn, of Grand Junction, Iowa."
