Cochran, Mrs. Wm.Prairie City - About five o'clock Monday afternoon, April 22, alone and apparently in her usual health, Mrs. Wm. Cochran was summoned home, sitting upright with her work by her side. Her husband found the lifeless form. He had gone on an errand for her just a few moments before, leaving her cheerful and as all supposed, well. Mrs. Cochran was in her 73rd year, beloved by all who knew her. Five children remain to care for the aged father. Seldom have we seen a mother more honored or revered that this one. Truly it can be said of her, "Her children arise up and call her blessed." Mrs. I. N. Beard, of Osceola, Mrs. Rose Davis, of Anita, daughters of the deceased, and Geo. Cochran, of Des Moines, her son, came Tuesday. The funeral was held Wednesday at 10 a. m. from the Christian Church.
