Cochran, John W.

John W. Cochran, formerly of Colfax, but for some years past a resident of Newkirk, Oklahoma, died at his home near that place last Friday morning, after an illness of only eight days, a victim of pneumonia. Up to within 24 hours of his death his malady was not regarded as dangerous, and when the end came he was unconscious. Mr. Cochran was aged 63 years, 3 months and 2 days, and leaves a wife, three sons and a daughter.

Colfax people remember him as a man of sterling integrity, a firm friend and a good neighbor. Deceased was a brother of Mrs. N. B. Paschal, of Colfax and to her was sent the telegram and subsequent letter announcing his death. ­ Clipper.
