Danny Pothoven Killed Saturday
Services Today for Tractor Mishap Victim
Funeral services for Danny Pothoven, 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Pothoven of near Kellogg, were held this afternoon at the Sully Christian Reformed Church.
The child was killed instantly Saturday morning when the tractor on which he was riding struck a soft spot in a gravel road, overturned and the righted itself.
The Rev. Bernard Van Someran, minister of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery at Pella.
Pallbearers were four brothers, Robert, Howard, Phillip and Raymond Pothoven.
Van Dyke-Duven Funeral Home of Pella was in charge of arrangements.
A prayer service was held in the church basement prior to funeral services.
The child was born April 5, 1959 near Kellogg, the son of Lester and Johanna Blom Pothoven.
He is survived by his parents, seven brothers and sisters, Phillip in the Air Force at McCord, Washington; Robert, Howard, Lois, Raymond, Virginia and Murray; and his grandmother, Mrs. John Pothoven of Peoria, Iowa.
