Wallace Madoll Dies Here Today
Wallace Madoll, 42, life-long resident of Jasper county, died this morning at 1:45 o’clock at the Skiff Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. Mr. Madoll had been ill since Friday, suffering from peritonitis and submitted to an operation Tuesday morning.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Morgan Funeral home by Rev. Roger D. Winger, pastor of the Christian church. Interment will be made in the Newton Union cemetery.
Mr. Madoll was born in the Barrett neighborhood, Sept. 18, 1889. He had lived in Newton for the last 31 years, where he was employed at the Parsons company since 1911. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Madoll, both of whom died this winter, and a brother and sister.
Surviving relatives include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Madoll; two children, Kenneth and Myrtle; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Morrow, and Sadie and Esther Madoll of Newton and two brothers, Elias Madoll of Gilman and David Madoll of Canby, Minn.
