Death of Mrs. Robert Booth

John Minor received the sad tidings of the death of his sister, Mrs. Mary Booth, last week. She was only sick a few hours. She with her husband visited Jasper County friends last summer and fall not returning to their home in Grand Pass, Oregon, until November. On Wednesday before her death they went a short distance from their home to keep house for a son who had gone with his invalid wife to California. The son and wife had only just reached their destination when the message come to “come home; mother was gone; she died on Saturday.” Mr. and Mrs. Booth were the parents of twelve children, all living. Ten of them attended the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Booth will be remembered by many in Jasper County. They were planning another visit this summer among their children and here with their brother who is almost inconsolable on account of his loss.
