Diane Zoe Noe, 54, of Newton died Friday, June 25, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery.

Visitation will be held today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Diane Zoe Noe Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Lewis Clyde and Marice Roselle (Pitsenberger) Noe, she was born April 13, 1950, in Newton. She worked at the Progress Industries Workshop for many years and was active in the Special Olympics, where she competed in the softball throw and standing long jump. She enjoyed reading and listening to music.

Survivors include her mother, Marice of Mingo; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Darlene Shaffer of Mingo, Dolores and Duane Brinegar of Ottumwa, and Bonnie and John Van Waardhuizen of Knoxville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Dwight H. and Mary Jo Noe of Gaffney, S.C., and Darrel A. and Carol Noe of Mingo; a sister-in-law, Mary C. Noe of Kellogg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Dale L. and Dennis G. ~ Newton (IA) Daily News, Monday, June 28, 2004
