COLFAX -- Jeanne Hagge, 76, of Colfax died Tuesday, June 22.

Funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be held Thursday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to Colfax Public Library.

The daughter of Ernest and Mary (Wheeler) Hartnett, she was born June 27, 1927, in Colfax. She graduated with the class of 1946 from Colfax High School. On June 11, 1947, she married Robert Hagge. She was active in the Altar and Rosary Society, Colfax Food Pantry, Colfax Women's Club, Colfax Historical Society and enjoyed volunteering her time at Colfax-Mingo Elementary School. In addition to reading, she enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Susie Conley; three grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Mary Ruth Hanna. ~ Newton (IA) Daily News, Wednesday, June 23, 2004
