FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Shirley Yvonne (Klopping) Faulkner, 83, of Flagstaff, Ariz., formerly of Newton, died Monday, May 24, at her home.

A memorial service and burial will be held in Newton at a later date.

The daughter of Olive (Morris) and Walter G. Klopping, she was born in Mariposa Township on Aug. 30, 1921. She worked in the payroll department at Flagstaff Memorial Hospital in Flagstaff, Ariz. Following her retirement, she volunteered at the hospital.

Survivors include three sons, Jon Helberg of Collinsville, Okla., Tim Adams of Decatur, Ill., and Tom Adams of Newman, Ill.; three grandsons; four granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. ~ Newton (IA) Daily News, Wednesday, June 23, 2004
