PELLA -- Gertrude (De Bruin) Van Steenis, 87, formerly of Pella died Sunday, Aug. 15, at Valley View Village in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Pella with the Rev. Ray Tilstra officiating and the Rev. Andy Kamphuis assisting. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

Visitation will begin today at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to Children's Haven International. ~ Newton (IA) Daily News, Tuesday, August 17, 2004
