Michael Bunk Val Gene "Junior" See, 82, of Newton died of a stroke Saturday, May 29, at his home.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. The body was cremated. Brooks Funeral Care in Clive handled arrangements.

The son of Michael Bunk Val Gene See and Elizabeth (Sisnoria) See, he was born March 27, 1922, in Grinnell. He attended school in Grinnell and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received a medical discharge. He retired from Parsons and was a lifelong resident of Newton.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tedd and Lisa See of Baxter and Terry and Candy See of Newton; a daughter, Bev Williams of Riverside, Calif.; three grandchildren; and a brother, Harry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Floyd, Raymond, Joe, Clifford, Dale and Loretta See and Juanita Calvert. ~ Newton Daily News, Wednesday, June 2, 2004
