COLFAX -- Diane L. Schutter, 46 of New Sharon, formerly of Colfax, died Saturday, July 10, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will be at Greencastle Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the New Sharon Fire & Rescue Unit or CCU Counselors Unit at Iowa Methodist.

Diane L. Schutter was born on Sept. 19, 1957, in Iowa City, the daughter of James H. and Beulah (Chapman) Borts. On July 13, 1996, she married John P. Schutter in Knoxville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. She grew up in Colfax and moved to New Sharon in 1997.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Crystal Marie Price, Heather Talbert and Amanda Price, all of New Sharon; a son, Jeremy Price of Centerville; six grandchildren; and her mother, Beulah, also of New Sharon.

She was preceded in death by her father; three brothers, James Jr., David Earl and James Allen; and her grandparents. ~ Newton Daily News, Newton, IA, Monday, July 12, 2004
