LOS LUNAS, N.M. -- Mildred Arlene Larson, 80, of Los Lunas, N.M., formerly of Colfax, died in the early morning hours, Wednesday, Aug. 11.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

The daughter of Betty and Lester Andeway, she was born July 12, 1924, in Rose Hill. She was married to Herbert Larson in Oskaloosa. They resided in Colfax and were members of Colfax Baptist Church for many years. She was employed by Skiff Medical Center in Newton for 13 years before moving to Carson, Calif. She had been living in Bullhead City, Ariz., with her youngest daughter, Penny Larson, for the past 10 years until a recent move to Albuquerque, N.M.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Deb Larson of Elkhorn, Neb.; two daughters, Sherry Chapman of Des Moines and Penny Larson of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Judy Andeway of Bullhead, Ariz.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and John Mulvihill of Grimes; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a granddaughter. ~ Newton (IA) Daily News, Saturday, August 14, 2004
