Spends Life On Farm
The first few years of the new home was spent on a farm northwest of Ira and since that time they have lived in the vicinity of Ira. They moved from the farm home in Ira 17 years ago.
The cause of her death was heart failure. She had been in poor health for the last year and had failed rapidly since the death of her husband, just one year ago. The morning she died, Mrs. Jones was feeling unusually well and was sitting up in bed visiting. While a young girl she joined the Christian church and all those years had been a faithful member of the church. The last family gathering, given in honor of her birthday, was held Aug. 14.
She is survived by two daughters Mrs. A. A. Southern of Mingo and Mrs. Roy Weston of Ira, five sons Grover Jones of Shell Lake, Wis., Charles Jones of Centuria, Wisc., Frank Jones of Collins and John Jones of Collins and Zenas Jones of Ira, and also 23 grandchildren, two brothers, James Strickler of Rhodes and Tillman Strickler of Collins, one sister, Mrs. Anna Morrison of Collins and a host of other relatives and friends.
