Mason Funeral Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Mason of Rock Creek township, who died at her home Thursday evening after an illness of two hours, were held at the home of Mrs. Mason’s brother, L. B. Young, Sunday afternoon.
The Elder R. I. Keeton of Grinnell and Elder M. E. Young of Indianola had charge of the funeral services. Burial was in the Hazelwood cemetery in Grinnell.
Mrs. Roscoe Dempster and Mrs. J. S. Cunniff of Grinnell sang three selections including “The Sun Shall Never Go Down,” “No Sorrows There” and “A Wonderful Dream.”
Five cousins, Fred Young, Fred Phipps, Harve Belles, Clarence E. Powers and Cash Adkins and one nephew, Roy Powers, served as pallbearers.
Out-of-town attendants were Elder and Mrs. M. E. Young, Mr. and Mrs. L. Lester, Mrs. Harve Rhodes, Roscoe Young, all of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Skiff of Antioche, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. James Rollins and daughter, Miss Carol of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Ogg of Newton and Fred Phipps of LeGrande, Ia.
Mrs. Mason is survived by her husband, Robert Mason, her mother, Mrs. Emily Young, one sister, Mrs. Bert Powers, and two brothers, Leslie Young and Lee Young all of near Kellogg.
