Arthur Morrison Dies Last Night
Funeral Services Will be Held Tomorrow at Morgan Funeral Home at 2 O’clock
Arthur Stewart Morrison of this city died last evening at 7 o’clock at the Skiff Memorial hospital after an illness of three weeks. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fred Schulz and Mrs. Bert Schulz and three brothers, Harry, Fred and Don Morrison.
Arthur Morrison was the eldest son of James Goldsmith Morrison and wife, both of whom have preceded him in death. He was born January 2, 1880 in Mariposa township and moved to his home place four miles east of Newton in 1895. He lived there until about two years ago and since then he has made his home in Newton with his brother, Don Morrison.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Morgan Funeral home and burial will be made in the Kellogg cemetery. Rev. W. R. Moore, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will have charge of the services.
Pallbearers will be Willis Pickens, Robert Pickens, Horace Morrison, Ed Brown, Howard Jacobs and Clifford Jacobs.

Morrison Rites Held Yesterday
Funeral services for Stewart Arthur Morrison, who died Friday evening at 7 o’clock at the Skiff Memorial Hospital, following an illness of three weeks, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Morgan Funeral home.
Dr. W. R. Moore, pastor of the local First Presbyterian church had charge of the services and burial was in the Kellogg cemetery.
Pallbearers were Willis Pickens, Robert Pickens, Elmer Starrett, Clifford Jacobs, Ed Brown and Horace H. Morrison. Music was furnished by the Presbyterian church choir.
Mr. Morrison is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Bert Schulz and Mrs. Fred Schulz and three brothers, harry, Fred and Don Morrison.
Though yet a young man, Stewart Morrison, a farmer of Kellogg township, Jasper county, had won a definite measure of success. He was a native son of this county and had spent his whole life here.
He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Goldsmith Morrison. His mother died Dec. 24, 1902 and his father died June 6, 1904. From this on, Stewart took charge of the farm and made a home for the family until about two years ago when he moved to Newton to make his home with his brother, Don Morrison.
He joined the Presbyterian church of Barrett, when about 15 years old then on moving to the home place in 1895 he transferred his letter to the Methodist Protestant church of which he was an active member until moving to Newton.
