Rites held for C. K. Woodin, Jr.
Son of Maytag Factory Chief Engineer Dies of Pneumonia
Funeral services for Charles K. Woodin, Jr., 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Woodin of Newton, were to be held in Rock Island, Ill., this morning. Services were to be held at the residence of the youth’s uncle, George G. Kulin, and from St. Josephs church.
Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Rock Island.
Mr. Woodin, who had been a student at George Washington University, Washington, D.C., died of pneumonia Friday night, in a hospital at Elgin, Ill.
His father is chief engineer for The Maytag Company.
Survivors besides the father and mother include two brothers, Robert of Newton, and Thomas, also a student at George Washington University.
