Kellogg Infant Dies Early Today From Pneumonia
Dorothy Ann Strovers, 9-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Strovers of south of Kellogg, died today at 6:35 a.m. at the Skiff Memorial Hospital, following a few days illness of pneumonia. She was entered at the hospital at 3:50 a.m.
The baby, one of a family of six children, was born April 25, 1936. Her mother was formerly Alice Allen of Newton.
Surviving relatives include the parents; two brothers, Junior, 9, and Dale 5; three sisters, Mary Lou, 7, Jean, 3, and Betty, 2; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Strovers of Kellogg, and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Allen of Newburg.
The father is reported ill with the flu.

To Hold Strovers Services Sunday
Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Strovers, 9-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Strovers, will be conducted from the home south of Kellogg Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. R. T. White of the Methodist Episcopal church. Interment will be in Our Silent City.
The baby died Friday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital following a few days illness of pneumonia.

KELLOGG – Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Strovers, 9-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Strovers, who died Friday morning at Skiff Memorial hospital in Newton after a few days illness of pneumonia, were held at the Madsen Funeral home here Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock with Rev. R. T. White pastor of the local Methodist Episcopal church in charge.
Music included two beautiful vocal duets “Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam” and “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” sung by Elnora Lenz and Mrs. R. T. White.
Burial was made in Our Silent City.
The infant was born at the home south of town April 25, 1936 and the mother was Alice Allen of Grinnell before her marriage.
Plans were made to hold the services at the home because of the illness of the father and were changed because the mother was taken ill Sunday with an attack of influenza.
The surviving relatives include the parents; two brothers, Junior, 9 and Dale 5; three sisters, Mary Lou 7, Jean 3 and Betty 2; the paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Strovers of this place; and the maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Allen of Newburg.
