Mrs. Peyton of Laurel Dies at Age of 71 years
LAUREL – Mrs. Adelia Ingraham Peyton, 71, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Reifschnieder, following a short illness. No funeral arrangements have been made.
Adelia Bennett Peyton was born at Newton July 9, 1865, and was married to Alexander Ingraham Feb. 13, 1882. Seven children were born to this union,, four of whom preceded her in death. The husband died April 10, 1925.
She was later married to Thomas Peyton in November 1931, who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George Rolfschnieder of Laurel; two sons, Ira Ingraham of Laurel and Alexander Ingraham of Kellogg, and nine grandchildren.

LAUREL – Funeral services for Mrs. Adelia Ingraham Peyton were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 10, at the Methodist church at 2:00 o’clock in charge of Rev. S. U. Williams, pastor of the church.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Fred Brown and W. P. Stewart, accompanied by Ruby Mellrath.
The pallbearers were Fred Barhow, Charles Ashing, Sr., Ralph Lindquist, Roy Schnathorst, John McMahon, and Fred Fehrman. Flowers were cared for by Ida Weissenburger, Mrs. Charles Ashing, Sr., Mrs. W. P. Stewart and Mrs. John McMahon. Burial was in the Methodist cemetery two miles northwest of Laurel.
Those attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Ingraham and son Charles, Mrs. C. B. Ingraham, Mrs. Cecil Mulbrook and Marie Awtry all of Newton; Mr. and Mrs. George Atkins and Mrs. Marlyn Douglas of Grinnell; Mrs. Catherine Richardson and Mrs. Claire Waltemeyer, Will Ingraham and Roy Ingraham of Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shaffer of Marshalltown; Clyde Stover of Newburg; Mr. and Mrs. V. B. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Ingraham, Mr. and Mrs. Will Van De Kamp and children, of Kellogg, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Starnes, Gilman.
