S. L. Miller, 78, Dies Wednesday
Former Resident of Guthrie County Dies At Daughter’s home
Samuel Lewis Miller, 78, former resident of Guthrie county died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd E. Davis, 515 East Tenth Street South.
Mr. Miller and his wife had made their home in Newton with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Davis, for the past 18 months. They formerly lived near Stuart, Ia.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a son, Clyde, who died two years ago, and by a baby, who died in infancy.
Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Long of Watsonville, Col., and Mrs. Davis of Newton.
Tentative funeral arrangements have set the rites for Saturday at the Fairview church near Stuart. Interment will be there.
