Miss Vera Miles, Former Newton Resident, Dies
E. J. Miles of this city received a wire today from his brother, Sam Miles, of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., telling of the death of his daughter, Miss Vera Miles, last Tuesday
Mr. and Mrs. Miles and two children, John and Vera, formerly lived in Newton. Mr. Miles will be remembered here by the older residents as an employee of the Seeburger Hardware store, which was located on the south side of the square. Later he was in the hardware business for himself at Mason City.
The daughter, Vera, had often visited in Newton with relatives and friends here and will be remembered by many.
