KILLDUFF – Mrs. John Lanser, 48, died Saturday at 9:30 p.m. at her home in Killduff, following a two-week illness of pneumonia.
Mrs. Lanser had been ill with influenza, when pneumonia set in over two weeks ago. She suffered a relapse Thursday and went into a coma Saturday afternoon, never regaining consciousness before her death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. from the home in Killduff and at 1:30 p.m. from the Christian Reformed church at Sully. The Rev. Martin Monsma of Pella will be in charge.
Born in Holland
Elizabeth Bruxvoort, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brant Bruxvoort of Sully, was born in Ede, Holland June 23, 1888, and came to the United States when she was seven years old. She was one of a family of 12 children.
She was united in marriage to John Lanser, Jan. 18, 1907, and to this union 12 children were born, all of whom survive.
She became a member of the Christian Reformed church at Sully when a girl and was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the church.
Survivors
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by twelve children, Mrs. Henry Jansen of near Sully, Brant of Sanborn, Ia., Arie and Mrs. Garret Van Kooten of Sully, Mrs. Cornie Van Maaren of Killduff, and Henry, Joanna, Betty, Peter, Johnnie, Arvin and Harriett, all at home.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Dick Vos of Pella, Mrs. Carl Kremm of Chandler, Miss., Mrs. Oney Arkema of Sully, Mrs. Henry Stek of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Martin Myer of Chicago, Henry and Malis Bruxvoort of Chandler, Miss., Brant Bruxvoort of Grand Rapids, Mich., Guy Bruxvoort of Oskaloosa, and John Bruxvoort of Sully. One sister, Mrs. Bernie Van Roekel, preceded her in death.

KILLDUFF – Funeral services for Mrs. John Lanser, 48, were conducted from the Christian Reformed church at Sully, Wednesday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m. by Rev. Martin Monsma, pastor of the Christian Reformed church at Pella.
Organ music for the rites was furnished by Miss Minerva Jansen.
Interment was in the Sully cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Everett Jansen, Garret Brooxvoort, Arie Lanser, Bernie Vos, Jake Van Hall, and Bill De Penning.
Mrs. Lanser died at 9:30 Saturday night following an illness of influenza and pneumonia which set in over two weeks ago.
Elizabeth Bruxvoort was born June 28, 1888, at Ede, Holland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brant Bruxvoort of Sully.
At the age of seven years she came with her parents to this country, where they settled on a farm near Sully. She was the second child of a family of 12. One sister, Mrs. Bernie Van Roekel, preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to John Lanser on January 18, 1907. Twelve children were born to this union, all surviving.
She had always taken an active part in church work. She became a member, when a girl, of the Sully Christian Reformed church and was a member of the Ladies Aid society.
Surviving relatives include her husband, John Lanser; six sons, Brant of Sanborn, Iowa; Arie of Sully, and Henry, Peter, Johnnie, and Marvin at home; six daughters Mrs. Henry Jansen and Mrs. Garret Van Kooten of Sully, Mrs. Cornie Van Maaren of Killduff, and Joanna, Betty and Harriett at home; six grandchildren, Lois Jean and Cleora Helen Van Kooten, Leslie Joan and Joan Joyce Lanser, Vernon Leroy and Orval Jay Jansen.
Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brant Bruxvoort of Sully; four sisters, Mrs. Dick Vos of Pella; Mrs. Carl Kreum of Chandler, Minn.; Mrs. Oney Arkema of Sully and Mrs. Martin Meyers of Chicago; five brothers, Henry and Malis Bruxvoort of Chandler, Minn.; Brant Bruxvoort of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Guy Bruxvoort of Oskaloosa and John Bruxvoort of Sully.
Those from a distance who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Brant Lanser and two children of Sanborn; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Meyers of Chicago; Gernie Van Roekel, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kreum, Henry Bruxvoort and Malis Bruxvoort all of Chandler, Minn.; Mrs. P. Lanser of Denver, Colorado; Guy Bruxvoort of Oskaloosa and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Vos of Pella.
