Stroke is Fatal to W. M. Kline
Jasper County Settler Dies Near Baxter Sunday at 84 Years
BAXTER, IA – W. M. Kline, 84, died at the home of his son, Bryan, 2 ½ miles southwest of here Sunday afternoon. Death followed a stroke suffered over a week ago.
Relatives here were awaiting word from a sister, Mrs. Rachael Corninger of Chicago, Ill., before making funeral arrangements.
William Manuel Kline, son of Henry and Catherine (Weishaar) Kline, had lived in Jasper county since he was 6 years old. He was born in Ogle county, Ill., May 25, 1854. Later the family moved to Jasper county and settled in Clear Creek township.
He was married to Elva Jones Aug. 22, 1898.
Surviving relatives include five sons and daughters, Bryan and Donald of near here, Mrs. Axey Morrison of Mingo, Mrs. Mary Miller of Ira, Mrs. Carl Dodd of State Center, and a sister, Mrs. Corninger.

Kline Services At Baxter Friday
BAXTER – Funeral services for W. M. Kline, 84, who died Sunday, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Boyd’s funeral home, it was announced today, following word from relatives from a distance.
Burial will be in the Restland cemetery at Baxter.
