MONROE – Brief graveside services were conducted by Rev. J. M. Carson, of the Monroe Baptist church, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 for Miss Bessie Kelsey, about 60, of Des Moines.
She had made her home with two of her sisters in Des Moines. She had been in as good health as usual, and dropped dead on her way home from calling on a neighbor.
Funeral services were at 11 o’clock in Des Moines at the Dunn’s funeral home.
She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Kelsey, and was born on a farm about one mile east of Otley. When about 16 years of age the family moved to Des Moines. Her father and mother preceded her in death some years ago.
