Former Newton Woman Dies At Age of 26 Years
METZ – Mrs. Paul Hoen, 26, formerly Edith Elizabeth Traxler of Newton, died Sept. 8, at Decatur, Ark., as the result of a stroke, suffered four days previous. Funeral services and burial were held there Sept. 10.
Mrs. Hoen attended the Newton high school and was married here April 19, 1929. Shortly after the marriage, she and her husband went to New Mexico for her health, and later located in Arkansas.
Mrs. Hoen was born Dec. 18, 1910, the daughter of the late Bert and Jennie Miller Traxler. Her mother was born and raised in Jasper county and her father was also a former Newton resident.
Surviving relatives include her husband and two children, Ruth 5, and Eddie 4.
She was a niece of Mrs. Florence Miller, John I. Miller and Mrs. Edith Pink.
