Mrs. Heinis, 19, Former Newton Resident, Dies
Mrs. Ben Heinis, 19, formerly Nellie Gray of Newton, died Friday morning at the home of her husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Heinis, at Ottawa, Kan.
She died of tuberculosis, from which she had been suffering since June 1936. She was taken ill in Newton and went to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Gray, at Cassville, Mo. Later she went to the home of her husband’s parents in Ottawa.
Surviving relatives include her husband, C. Ben Heinis, and an infant son, Ben Allen, both of Ottawa; her parents of Cassville, Mo., bur formerly of Newton; two brothers, Warren and Maurice Lee Gray, of Cassville; a sister, Mrs. John O. Bayse of Newton, and her grandfather, Frank Gray, Sr., also of Newton. A brother, James Edward Gray, died of tuberculosis two years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Bayse attended the funeral rites in Ottawa Sunday.
