Frank S. Graham Dies at 82 Years
Newton Man Dies Early this Afternoon Following Long Illness
Frank Graham, 82, retired farmer, died today at 1 p.m. at his home, 518 East Fifth Street North, following a prolonged illness. He had been suffering with heart disease when pneumonia set in, resulting in his death.
Mr. Graham was born in Cedar county, Ia., Jan. 1, 1855, and came to Jasper county when only 11 years of age.
His life’s occupation was farming, from which he retired about 15 years ago.
He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church and The Daily News Three Quarter Century club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Griebeling Graham, whom he married Jan. 20, 1906, and a son, Ralph Graham, by a former marriage.

To Hold Graham Funeral Services Sunday Afternoon
Funeral services for Frank S. Graham, 82, will be conducted from the Lutheran church Sunday at 2 p.m. by Dr. W. H. Blancke, pastor emeritus, assisted by Rev. Fredrick D. Boldt, pastor. Interment will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
Mr. Graham died early Thursday afternoon at his home, 518 East Fifth Street North, following a long illness of heart trouble, complicated by pneumonia.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Griebeling Graham; a son by a former marriage, Ralph Graham of Jefferson City, Mo., and a grandson in Oklahoma.
The son is expected to arrive today.

Postpone Rites For F. S. Graham Because of Storm
Funeral rites for Frank S. Graham, 82, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, were postponed because of the snowstorm, until Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
Mr. Graham’s son, Ralph Graham of Jefferson City, Mo., who came Friday for the rites, was forced to return Sunday to his home because of urgent business.
Mr. Graham died at his home here Thursday.

Conduct Services For F. S. Graham
Rites, Postponed From Sunday, Held Tuesday Afternoon in Newton
Postponed funeral services for Frank S. Graham, 82, retired farmer, were conducted from the Evangelical Lutheran church Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Dr. W. H. Blancke, pastor emeritus, and Rev. Fredrick D. Boldt, pastor.
Richard Toedt, accompanied by Mrs. Toedt, sang, “Lead Kindly Light” and “Jesus Savior Pilot Me.”
Interment was in the Newton Union cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers: J. W. Munn, C. C. McConkey, Ed Wehrman, Bert Baty, W. J. Andreas and Albert Soderblom.
Mr. Graham, resident of Jasper county for over 70 years, died Thursday at his home, 518 East Fifth Street North, following a long illness. Funeral services were originally set for Sunday, but were postponed because of inclement weather.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Griebeling Graham, and a son, Ralph Graham of Jefferson City, Mo., by a former marriage.
